Community Groups are places to connect with others, grow in your faith, and share life together. They’re one of the best ways to build meaningful relationships and experience biblical community at Calvary Star.

As Calvary Star has grown, so have the ways people connect. Community Groups brings all of these opportunities together under one umbrella, making it easier to find a place to belong and grow.

Absolutely! Home Groups are still an important part of who we are. They’re now one of several types of groups available through Community Groups.

There are six different ways to connect: Home Groups, Men’s Groups, Women’s Groups, Newly Married Groups, Support & Care Groups, and New Believers Foundations Group. Each offers a different setting, but they all share the same heart-helping people connect and grow in Christ.

Start by looking through the available groups and see what best fits your season of life, interests, location, and schedule. If you’re not sure, we’d be happy to help you find a good fit.

Simply browse the available groups and follow the registration link for the group you’d like to join. Once you register, you’ll receive the information you need to get connected.

Community Groups follow a semester rhythm that gives everyone natural times to connect, grow, rest, and begin again. Between semesters, we also take time to equip and encourage our leaders and prepare for the next season of groups. This rhythm helps keep our groups and leaders healthy while providing regular opportunities for new people to get connected.

Our Fall Community Groups semester begins the week of September 13 and runs for 10 weeks, through November 19. Some groups may meet for a shorter period depending on the type of group or study being offered. You’ll find the specific dates and details in each group’s description.

Meeting times and locations vary depending on the group. Each group listing will give you the details you need, including when and where it meets.

Home Groups are designed to help us take what we’re learning on the weekend and live it out together during the week. Each week, Home groups will use sermon-based questions from Pastor David’s weekend message to discuss God’s Word, share what they’re learning, pray together, and talk about how Scripture applies to everyday life.

Expect a relaxed and welcoming environment where you can meet people, grow in God’s Word, pray together, and build relationships. Every group looks a little different, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before you come!

Not at all. Whether you’re exploring faith, just beginning to follow Jesus, or have walked with Him for many years, there’s a place for you.

Yes! You don’t have to have been at Calvary Star for a certain amount of time to get connected. Community Groups can actually be one of the best ways to begin meeting people and feeling at home.

Yes. Depending on your schedule and season of life, you may find that more than one group is helpful-for example, participating in a Home Group as well as a Men’s or Women’s Group.

This varies from group to group. Check the individual group description for information about children or childcare, or contact the group leader if you have questions.
