The Practice of Abiding
October is Abide month at Calvary Chapel Star, abiding is essential for daily life, but during Abide month we are intentionally practicing the same spiritual disciplines together as a church body, including:
What does abide mean? The original greek word is 'menō', and it is defined as remaining in a given place, state, relation or expectancy. Other Bible translations use 'remain' in place of 'abide', and the message is consistent - Jesus is calling us to stay connected to Him.
God has done awesome things as we have sought Him together, and we are excited, and expectant for Him to bring freedom, healing, breakthrough, deliverance, power, and joy as we abide in Him!
- Daily Bible Reading (Abide Bible Plan)
- Daily Prayer (and weekly prayer meetings at the Chapel)
- Daily Worship (Choosing to worship with a song daily)
- Weekly Fasting (Choosing 1 day per week to fast and seek the Lord)

Join Us in the CCS App
The Abide Reading Plan will be available in the app, so you can easily track your progress as we read the Word together starting October 1st!
Abide Devotionals
We've taken time to record some short devotionals for our church family, to help us all reflect on His Word. New devotionals will be available daily, starting October 1st.
Pray with Us
Join us every Tuesday night in October from 6:30–8:00 PM in Room 1 at the new campus as we seek the Lord together in prayer.
LET WORSHIP LEAD YOU IN PRAYER.
We’ve created four worship playlists inspired by the P.R.A.Y. framework. Use them to help guide your heart into worship and intentional time with the Lord.
