Answer Your Calling

We are back, healthy and safe from Peru. Thank you for your fervent prayers on behalf of the team and our families here at home, for the mighty works God is doing in South and Central America, and the call God has on Calvary Chapel Star for missions at home and abroad.
As Shannon shared in the previous blog, God intentionally led our team individually to meet specific missionaries and pastors. In addition to Pastor Wilian in Columbia, we want you to get acquainted with a few other families to keep in your prayers.
First meet Julian and Hope, who have studied at Calvary Bible Institutes (CBI) both in Mexico and Peru. Several years ago, God tugged on Julian’s heart to go to Chile. After much preparation in Bible training, church planting, and service he and his wife were commissioned and sent out this past Sunday at CC Trujillo, The plan is to have their first church service on September 28, 2025 in Concepcion, Chile. This port city has many universities, and about a million people of which the majority clings to atheism. God has already provided a place they will call home, a building available to rent for church services, chairs, and Bibles. They have also met various individuals there in the city, who are proclaiming with joy that they have prayed for years for someone to come and start a church that would teach the truths of God’s Word. Julian and Hope’s prayer request is, “Please continue to pray for Calvary Concepcion, and pray that the Lord would forever keep us in a place of dependence of Him.”
